Late S1 Rear Clam removal

Post by Matelotman » Wed Jun 11, 2008 7:06 pm

Taking my rear clam off to make a few jobs easier. It's a later clam (without the fixed partition) and I've taken all the fixings off and the clam seems loose but I can't find the knack to remove it. It won't come straight up or straight back and I don't want to force it and risk cracking it....... anyone got a top tip ?(apart from pouring petrol over it and torching it - because that's the next step :x )

Ghris

Craig is obviously the expert around here, both of ours have been off and on numerous times, but he is away until Friday.

Yeah I know - I'm on my week off (except Sunday) so it's the first chance I've had to get stuck into the car and get things done.

Do you have the rear clam removal pic and instructions from the Manual?

I do thanks, although my fixings are slightly different from the manual which is the earlier clam ie I don't have a fixing behind the number plate
