Cheers, was going to order from Motorsport World in Strathaven, they were cheaper as no postage. Or so I thought, they want £8.00 postage even if I collect !!.

Any idea how OMP pads compare with 1144, they are considerably cheaper and seem to get a decent write up on SELOC wiki.

I take it vx pads ( Camskill) are the same as Elise?

I had OMP's on another car, not that good tbh. Not sure I'd bother with the 1144's for the elise either. Mine had to be filed down to fit, I'd go for SBS pads the next time if not streching to pagids. Never had a problem with MSW in the past though, they're usually 1st class to deal with.

Bit of a drift:
My rear pads are not worn evenly, is that normal?
There is twice as much left on the outer pads :scratch
I take it that the slide pins are stuck or sticky?

Cool.

Just asked Stu for a set of discs for the front, going to put the fornts on the rear (they are newer and less pitted) then its new pads all round, probably SBS pro? We'll see how far I can stretch the budget. Probably end up with 4 rebuild kits while I'm there too...

Like the bloody porker, started with rust bubble, ended up with a huge repair to weld in and a rattle can respray by installments, I might go and buy a Civic...Not

Sorry for the continuing hijack but is it worth changing the pads with the disc or is it better to run the disc in first on the old pads?

Change the pads with the disc, unless you're as pikey as me. Means the disc has an even wear pattern from the start. If you're getting pads anyway, you might as well just go with them from the get go.

I'll probably go with the pikey option then,to even out the cash flow (Or I couldbuy the pads on credit card... hmmm... :D )

The Porker needs tax, the Elise needs a service and tax in Aug and I have 4 wheels to refurb & straighten / buy... SWMBO will kill me :blackeye

In the pursuit of ultimate pikeyness I'll fit the outer pads on the inside too make them last even longer
