Hi there can someone please tell me what oil i need to top up my s2 Elise 120bhp 53 reg, as i am doing my first track day at Kames and i just want to be safe and check the cars levels etc.

Your best bet is to use the stuff that's already in the engine. Have a check for the last service invoice and see what they put in. If it's an MMC service it'll be mobil 1 15w50. If you dont know, any good fully synthetic around the 10 / 15 w50 will do. Silkolene is my prefered choice, but after my car decided to start using a litre a month that proved expensive & i swapped to the halfords motorsport stuff. 
Just make sure the level sits pretty close to the max line on the dipstick before you start... Or you'll end up like me

It might depend on what was in there before - between mineral or synthetic, at least (but not totally sure).
If you are going to do an oil change, Mobil 1 0W40 is good in the K engine, certainly on an S1.
Have seen quite a few opinions on oils in the past though so be prepared for barrage about now...!

5w40 Fully Synth recommend for my K by opie oils 
Give them a email with the engine spec and they will recommend some options
