funny wobble? Please help!

Post by muzza1000 » Sat Jul 12, 2008 1:41 pm

I have just changed the rear tyres for a new set. Keeping the same type Toyo Proxes. Since doing this there is a strange wobble or wondering of the front end. There is plenty tread on the front tyres and pressures are ok. If anyone has any ideas please let me know, thanks.

Take your car back to the garage that fitted the new tyres and tell them your problem and request them to re-check wheel fitting and tyre balance.

Take care,

Toyos are a bit wobbly to begin with. But garage check for free is worth it!

IMO Toyo's run better with a bit more pressure than standard ... however, assuming you had the same type Toyo's on before and you're running the same pressures (I would double check that), then either the wheels aren't on tight or the wheels aren't balanced, or you're suffering from wibbly wobbly toyo syndrome ... the side walls are a bit soft and you do get a floaty feeling with them, it seems.

Cheers,
