Brake pads needed urgently

I think I may have overdone it a bit on track today, thought I had plenty of life left, turns out I dont and now have very nice metal on metal grinding discs

What pads do you recommend and where from?

jamie rates the pagid 14s but im thinking of the 42s. will also need to invest sometime soon...

Green stuff are fine for mainly road use, but they overheat and go off without warning after a bit of abuse on track.
(or on the downhill bit on the last SE run round Rannoch... not nice)

I've been using the Pagid 42s for a couple of years now, a touch pricey but they work and last quite well. Elise parts send them out quickly if you are desperate, they sent me the last set within 3 or 4 days.

Mintex 1144s are a good compromise between track and road too.

£100 for all four from Camskill.co.uk or as others have said Pagids for £250.

I think the 14s are more track specific and not as good from cold. The 42s are better for all round use.(read that somewhere so not from experience). Andy's got them and they really work!!!

Simply....

Jack up, wheel off, clips out (Front), pin(s) out, catch spring, forget wich way round it goes, pads out, pistons in (gently now front) or wind in (Rear), pads in, spring in, spring in again the right way round, pin(s) in, clip in (Front), wheel on, jack down, drive, enjoy.

missed anything?
