engine fan thermostat

Post by gavin.l » Sat Sep 06, 2008 11:45 am

Hi,

I suspect the engine fan on my VX220 may not be coming on when it should; can anyone tell me at what temperature the thermostat should switch the fan on at?

Ta much.

A k Elise is 102 to 105 degrees dont know about the VX . Stick your jhand up and see if you can turn the fan , they seize. If it turns check the fuse etc.

DON'T stick your hand in the fan while the engine is remotely warm - it will hurt if you free it off and the ECU wants to spin the fan - best done when engine is stone cold.

I would guess that the fan should be on by the time the dash displays 100C.

Cheers,
