Battery for 111R

Hi

I am looking for some advice. I need to replace the battery and am just wandering exctly what spec I should be getting to replace it, any recommended makes and also any major do's and dont's?

Any advice would be great.

Not sure on 111R battery size.

Check the existing battery - it should have a size code on it - S1s were an 063 code - never changed a battery on an S2, let alone 111R

First rule of working on batteries - disconnect negative terminal first, reconnect negative terminal last.

On the elise, just before you disconnect the battery you need to disarm the alarm/immobiliser, then remove the battery terminal in less than 60s, but certainly before the alarm/immobiliser rearm automatically. If you don't do this, it will go ape ...
