Got a problem with my door locks on my NA exige.

Press the key fob button once - doors locks

Press the key fob button again - nothing happens!!!!!!!!!

Bit of a pig because i couldn't even get the door open with the key. Had to use strimmer wire to pull the door latch up to get in.

anyone else had this problem - i would imagine it is a east fix though.

Same problem with mine.

Did a bit of research and it is quite common, maybe the radio receiver for the blipper.

I wasn't confident enough that that was it to buy one though, maybe you could try it first :D

Sounds sort of reasonable - can't be the mechanisms inthe doors as neither door opens.

anyone know where the radio reciever is located?

This sounds like your central locking module rather than any problem with your key fob. Exactly the same thing happened to mine, and it's a fairly common fault by all accounts.

Mine was fixed at MMC under warranty and I believe it involves a dashboard strip down.

Got a problem with my door locks on my NA exige....
Hi,
Have you had any luck diagnosing the problem?
I've had a similar issue today with my S2....tried to lock the doors using the key fob and can hear the door trying to lock and the sill button trying to move....but nothing, had to lock it manually! Hoping that its just the low temperatures! Anyone have any further thoughts?? Cheers.

in both cases it will be the central door locking module. its a very common problem, second to the heater resistor fault its the most common. cheers
