Rear lights question.

My old man was in the lotus today with me behind in his car , I noticed that the lights are not functioning properly .

I had them out when I detailed the car and think I may have messed up putting them back in .

So there are 2 rings each side , On the outer rings one half lit up when he hit the break , On both sets the part that lights is on the right side of the outer ring ....confusing I know , but I have gathered that I have one on upside down .

Okay , so then I noticed that the inner rings dont seem to be doing anything at all even with sidelights on , is this correct ?

or is somthing wrong ? cheers .

Inner rings are your rear fog lights. It will probably only be half of it that lights up when you put the rear fogs on. The switch is the lowest one of the 3 light switches on your dash.

What year is your car? On older models (perhaps pre-05 or pre-06) only half of the outer light will light up for braking, so that sounds correct.

yeah only half of the ring lights up on brake , one is upside down though this is easily sorted . Just found it a little strange the inner rings were doing nothing , Its cool watching someone else drive your car for a change

I think that actually looks pretty cool , whats everyones thoughts on doing this ?
