My car is probably going to be around 1000miles overdue its service by the time I get the car up to Ali's , Is there anything I can do In the meantime ie Oil change ? or should I just hold off ...is 1000m a big deal ?
Cheers.

This guy was just under 1/4 mile past his due service date
Donty worry about it - just take it easy on the engine. Probably the worst thing that will happen is somebody questioning the service interval if you sell the car & they look closely at the book

Think, for warranty purposes, you are allowed one month or 1500 miles after the due period?

I remember reading years ago about Toyota getting type approval for one of their engines in America, part of the criteria was that the engine had to run for an equivalent of 60,000 miles without any mechanical failure, no consumable, i.e, timing belts, plugs, filters etc were allowed to be changed. Oil could be topped up but not changed. Given this I dont think I would be to worried about having to do an oil change if your only 1,000 overdue a service.
