gear change problem when hot.

Hi folks
Only just worked this out, as not been doing many long journeys for the past couple of months.
Gearchange is nice and sweet when cold (well, as good as you expect from a K series gearbox

) but when the car warms up, the self centering dissappears, and it gets quite mushy to move across the gate. Forward/back motion is the same whether hot or cold, and i'm happy with that.
Gearbox oil was replaced last summer, so i doubt its that. Could it just be the linkage needing lubed? or is it possibly a cable?
Its the heat thing that has me stumped, as i'd expect it to free off when warm.
any suggestions??
cheers
neil

Or the linkage at the box end could tighten as the metal expands with the heat. I'd look at stripping and greasing that all up before moving further...

I had similar symptoms on mine. I fixed by replacing the rear linkage - although I suspect a re-lube would have done just as well. ( I'd already bought the Eliseparts kit )

Cheers folks, will lube and/or replace linkage at the rear. It confused me with the heat iddus, as when i have had dodgy gears before, its been at all times.
Thanks.

I've got a 135R too and have noticed the same thing. Interested to hear if your strip and lube does the job.
