Brake pads RS42's ?

Are pagids RS42's ok on standard S2 discs ? I am going to be giving this track day malarkey a go in the very near future but it will be mostly road use. My discs have very little wear so don't really want to change them unless the benefits of changing them would be considerable .It may be my imagination but it appears the standard pads are wearing much faster as they get older. I am also a bit surprised they are wearing evenly all round as I would have thought the front would go first.
I am doing the High performance course at Knockhill on Tuesday and have a feeling it will finish them off.

Try SBS, loads cheaper than Pagids and going from OEM pads you'll be amazed at the difference

Just done a search on SELOC and the feedback on SBS pads is quite good . At my level any improvement on the OEM items would be good as I actually find them quite good. The price difference is not to be sneezed at either.

Hmm, I bought mine from questmead.co.uk, £137 delivered. Not sure how that compares with Yvo. I think mine are great, never used Pagids so can't compare but I've had OEM, Green Stuff and now SBS and they really are a lot better than either of the other 2. Didn't fade at all at KH last time out and that was braking later and harder than with greens.

Simon is £137 for a full set ,all four calipers?

Yup, they're not the ones with the anti-squeal buffers and they do squeal a bit a low speeds. I'm sure you could get the buffers cheap tho.

ive recently had 42s fitted and they are awesome!
cant comment on the sbss but from what ive heard the pagids are worth the extra cash.

And I've heard that the SBS are about as good as Pagids but they're over £100 less. Not much point in speculating unless you try both. If my SBS pads last long and continue with the same performance as they have now, I have no reason to bother paying more for Pagids.

Ordered SBS ones today and will be here tomorrow .
£145 and he chucked in some anti-rattle shims. I may try 42's in the future see how I get on .
