Well what started off yesterday as a great idea, has perplexed me. Having bought two probax seats (from an 07 Exige) from Junks @Seloc a few weeks ago, I decided to give it a go and replace the seats yesterday afternoon. With Drill in hand poised ready (having read that I would have to dril an additional hole) I removed the drivers adjustable running mechanism from the original leather s1 seats, only to find that the runner doesn't fit the new seats . The runners crossbeam (where the two bolts from the seat attach to the runners is at a different angle (much sharper angle) than the new seats. The ar is 63rd off the production line so one of the oirginal build cars back in 96, so I am guessing there might be a slight design change in newer models.
Has anyone else tried or hopefully resolved this? I didn't fancy adapting the crossbeam as I'm assuming that it is there to help in a crash scenario and potentiay stop the seat bolts from shearing off. If not, I guess douglas valley will be geting a call
Thanks
Les
