Driving Lights......
Driving Lights......
Right... it's been cracked for about a year now and has finally decided to fall apart so the front of the car now looks like a mouth with a tooth missing...
MOT time is coming so I guess I need to order a new one... question is... can you buy them separately and if not.... does anyone need the one that I don't need and want to go halfers on a set.... !?!?!
Also.. where is cheapest to get these then....
Cheers!
Dave.
Gonna get some protectors for them this time faction!

I think all the usual places (eliseparts, elise-shop, hangar 111) sell them separately anyway.
No idea who's the cheapest - when I did mine, I changed both for the eliseparts uprated ones, which did make a difference.

Nah - I just removed the feckers (having broken both) and not got round to replacing them.
Got an S2 one in the box upstairs waiting to be fitted.
When I get my finger out and buy the other one I'll give you a shout ninja and you can follow my lead.
Cheers
Mac - who also needs to buy protectors

I seemed to crack one on the exige on saturday
I ordered the polycarbonate protectors from eliseparts on sat night, picked the cracked bits of glass out of the light unit then fitted the protectors today. Looks good. Unless you were very up-close and personal then you would never know that one light had no glass.

Ditto - I had both S1 drivers lights fecked and just got the polycarbonate covers glued over them - there is no focus/beam test on high beams so it really doesn't matter from an MOT perspective.renmure wrote:I seemed to crack one on the exige on saturday![]()

Re: Driving Lights......
These are a nightmare to change on the S1 if you don't take the clam off, it is possible tho but you wont get into all the bolts when putting them back on. I think mine are held on with 3 of the 4 bolts. But even to get into that 3rd bolt I had to make a bunch of little tools. Each one turned the bolt a fraction more.
You'd also be better changing both (tho they are kinda pricey, more than the S2 ones), as one new one looks very different compared with an old one.
