Fan Heater...
Fan Heater...
My fan seams to only be blowing hot air, no matter where I turn the knob
Has anyone had the same problem?
Re: Fan Heater...
Similar - mine blows only cool air.
There's a cable or lever under one of the front access panels, which controls whatever flaps exist to move the air about - this may have become loose or jammed (try a search for more details, I'm sure it's been posted before.)
A solenoid valve/actuator might be involved in making the neccessary movements, so it may be the case that this needs replaced.

Same happened on mine recently - well, stuck hot. Turned out to be electical connector accessed from the offside front access panel - nothing mechanical. You can check if it's this with a multimeter, cos the voltage in the connector changes when you change the heater dial. Pulled the connector apart, sprayed with WD40 and put back togther and works again...for now at least.

Re: Fan Heater...
I've got the opposite problem, only blowing cold air (which shouldn't be a problem in the summer time, eh?
).
Had the service panels off at lunch time, got the ducting out, and right enough the wee flap didn't move when I turned the switch. Checked all the electrical connectors were connected but I didn't have my multimeter so couldn't check what was wrong.
Put it all back together again having achieved nothing, magic!
