Oh no............

Post by BiggestNizzy » Mon May 04, 2009 7:35 pm

Coming home from Braehead this afternoon the car quickly made it's way to 102 degree's I pulled into asda/toys are us and checked the water levels only to find a dribble in the expansion bottle. I let it cool and filled it up with some water from asda and drove home the car sat at 85-87 all the way home no problem. I have no mayo and the water looks clean.

Suggestions other than the obvious HGF :( :( :(

Get a block test done - replace expansion tank cap - check for coolant leaks (easy enough if you park it somewhere clean - you should see some coolant marks on the surface under the car).

Cheers,
Robin

There is more than one option Pete.

Anyway, how's the MX5 going?

Pete, I saw your car at the weekend - just waiting on scholar producing the engine AFAIK... For those that are interested, i hear Ali has taken on an apprentice to help out with the general running of SLS. Good news for all i think :thumbsup

Nizzy, SWM (steve weegie motorsport) is awaiting your call

Constant speed. Variable noise. The novelty has completely worn off...

:( I always thought they were a good cheap fun car but never driven one for any great distance.
