Exige immobiliser problem

Post by c5tto » Tue May 05, 2009 3:58 pm

Does anyone know anything about the immobilisers on exige, its my brothers car, its an 05 i think. it has been up to taylors in aberdeen and they have found there is no power between ignition and starter and say there is nothing they can do, because lotus wont give them the diagrams, and they say it needs to go down to lotus, has anyone had this problem previously? but when using the fob the alarm light is going off.

I would take it to a proper auto electrician and they should be able to trace the fault.

Unfortunately Taylors is a proper auto electrician.

Surely the wiring diagrams are available online? No one got a copy of the S2 service manual?

I've got them and happy to email the relevant pages. PM me with an email address and you can take them to this 'proper auto electrician'.

You can buy the service manual from Lotus. It includes the wiring diagrams (at least it has for every other model of elise).

I don't have them for Toyota engine'd cars ...
