On the s1 (and probably the S2), they just need to loosen the clam - not take it off completely. However, as they'll be 90% of the way there, it'd be churlish not to

see I keep telling ya.... get yourself a nice reliable S1.......
I honestly dont mind if you want to swap for a few weeks/months just to see how much you would like an S1 like mine....
I know it would be a hardship for me to have to drive a 111R for a while but that's the kind of generous sacrifice I would make.....
no problem..... just let me know when.... honestly... it's not a problem..... anytime..... really..... it's fine..!!

a selfless act!
S2 they are saying is a clam off, and MMC didn't question it....not that that means much

They do a great jop of getting worn away on moving bits and blowing at high speed.....
Nah, really, they supposedly help brake feel and cut a bit of spongeyness when the fluid is really hot and supposeldy expanding the rubber pipes. Makes a difference to feel when you have no servo interfering. I've got em.
I'm not 100% sure it would be detectable on the 111r with the brake servo, but if you've got the cash to spunk (and you make sure they are secured and don't rub on stuff) then they can't hurt.
Won't make it stop any quicker though - it's purely a feel thing.

Made a great difference to my pedal feel, but I could have been the 6 year old fluid.....
