I noticed while doing my gearbox oil seal that my lower ball joint was really stiff while the upper one was not as stiff. No play just stiff. Is it time for a new set or is this ok?

Sounds like another job that needs doing then
It's much more fun when something doesn't need doing but you do it anyway (Larini, De-cat, quickshift, harnesses, S2 shocks, etc)

Are TADTS still the best prices? £13 inc vat each
Liz parts are £18.74 inc

At least the LHS rear ball joint plinths will come apart....
