LSD

My cars previous owner bought this and was intending to fit it, I've just got my hands on it. Considering it hasn't cost me a penny is it worth fitting? Or should I stick it on eBay, how much is it worth... £100??

Surely you would need another 100bhp to make use of it ?
I am sure somone "in the family" would buy it from you.

I imagine it would make some kind of difference, even if only slight?? Or maybe not?
Readin thro some of the forums, most folk say you don't need it. But then anyone who's had it fitted seem to swear by them, even on std cars saying it improves grip etc.
Are all those bits in the picture LSD related?

Scott,
Get one of the regulars to go round Kh will you - after a few laps it will become appartent if you need an LSD or not.
Personally it's only my list of to do things

I have an LSD on the Exige and so have hands on experience of how the LSD effects Loti
Elise/Exige are best 'unspoilt' by the effects of an LSD.
It will produce 'push' and therefore understeer. This can of course be countered by the rest of the setup. Best leave off unless you have 200+hp

Cheers for that Jamie, really makes a lot of sense and you've made a really good point. While 'upgrades' like exhaust and suspension are one thing, as a 'standard' Elise driver I probably shouldn't mess with what Lotus have set the car around. If that makes sense.

Sadly it's not a quaffe one (an they retail at £475 u cheap skate
). Haven't yet found a pic that matches but (goin by some of the previous owners 'upgrades') it'll be the cheapest.

You haven't got this sales patter sorted out yet have you.....
You: It's not a quaffe one but I'm sure it's better, I'm sure it's an excellent unobtainium version of the quaffe LSD, look it's got kryptonite main bearings and the grub nut is made of leather bound platinum. Ideal for a man of such decerning taste.
Customer: £100?

I'm fine with page 285 but as soom as I get onto page 286 all I see is a whole lot of cazyness
Can't quite spot my LSD, list number?
