Battery Light

Light started flickering on the motorway last night then eventually stayed lit. Charged the battery last night on the Maintenance Charger and it had gone out when I started it this morning. It's now flickering when I go above 3000 rpm. Anyone any ideas - Alternator fecked?

Mr. Hambo has suggested a battery check - hoping to get this done at lunch time.

Cheers,

John

Classic alternator, TBH.

Regulator pack on mine died and was overcharging the battery - ended up killing it very quickly with the symptoms you describe.

Alternator right enough - 12.8V - battery fine at 14.2.

Well, at least it just died, instead of the regulator going and taking out a perfectly good battery as well. Silver linings and all that :thumbsup
