Does the S2 rover engined elise have the same sort of ecu reset thing as the S1? if so what is the procedure?
Clarkyboy is changing his manifold and throttle body just now and I mentioned he might have to reset the ecu (I had to when I changed my throttle body) after he has finished fitting it, if the car doesn't run right.
Kev.

The rover model Elise uses a strange procedure to reset the TPS which involves turning the ignition to the ON position (not running) and pressing the accelerator to the floor (and letting it go back the whole way) 5 times....
I stole that piece of info from
here

Cheers! I'll pass that onto Clark. Think that is pretty much the same as the S1.

The throttle press thing doesn't work on the S2 (different ECU) Plus that just resets the TPS on the S1s
Most reliable way is unplug the battery for 10 minutes as far as I can tell.

Its cool shug,
i have it up and running nicely, i think the s2 resets every time you switch the ignition on - it makes a clickky noise from that area each time, thinks thats what mikie711 told me at the beggining of the week.

Nope,
When it's properly re-set it'll idle a bit grumpy and will hunt a bit until it's re-learned the IACV mapping. Clicking will be relays for something.
Still, all fixed, so no problems
