Improving the Larini SOund

Post by Gareth » Thu Jun 01, 2006 6:07 pm

After hearing Matts new set up (Larini and CRP) mines sounds crap.
Ok, so he has a S1 but I think my S2 Larini sounds a little too raspy.

Tempted with a CRP but don't want to go down the route of my S1 and deafening people. Basically looking to get a deeper tone.

Anyone got a Larini and CRP on a S2?

CRP will require a MIL lamp elliminator - pricier option would be the sports cat which would alter the sound.

Iain had one on your car, it sounds louder but much the same. If you don't like it, sell it and buy something else. I think the sound it makes is superb and wouldn't want to make it deeper. If I did, I'd have bought a Janspeed.

Yea I think it's a 'good' raspy, a lot of folk comment on it sounding good.
Its a bit too quiet for me tho ;)

Watch out - my petrol consumption has plummeted! Might be because I'm driving everywhere in second gear though

Phil A can vouch for how loud mine was, on the approach to the Cairn he could hear it echoing down the vallys!

Matt: I now do the same, and if anyone lives near the tunnel in Dundee then sorry!
