Anyone know how to check wear on inside pad with 4 pot calipers?
Had a quick look but not easy to see clearly.
I'm familiar with changing the pads on the standard calipers. How do you change on the 4 pots?
Cheers Clark

I might be inclined to leave the old pad between one pot and the disk, press back the other pot, then stick the new pad in at 90 degrees to proper orientation, then push back the second piston, then put the new pad in properly, then repeat on the other side ...
Cheers,

On the APs the pins have an integral retaining spring collet, no R clips. Just knock them out with a small punch from outside of caliper. Easy enough. I had no problem with pressing back pistons just used bit of wood which did both simultaneously, but as Robin says, use a tactic which avoid one popping out as you shove the other one in.
Getting new RS14 pads for the Big Brake setup ain't easy, Lotus had them on back order when I changed mine a month ago, eventually got set from Hangar111, not Lotus p/n but they are correct fit. Won't depress you by mentioning the cost.

Hey Clarkie,
Straight foward fit per Robin's post..Eliseparts have then..around £205/ front set ..and seeing as they are about 10 times better than the cardboard 42's ..a bargain imho..
CU later this week
Take care,
Frank
