Long story short..
Anyone got a good suggestion to recover from a collapsed upper steering column. I dont fancy paying 450 quid to lotus for a new one unless it is the only route. I have heard that the column comes from a corsa or something and a scrapy might be my best route. But what do you do about the ignition barrel etc? Any help on this would be great as there is a big hole in the dash and a steering column on my desk.... This has ruined my weekend to be honest..
For sale 1 Rubber mallet, used once for ruining an upper steering column.. free to good home.

Update.
I have managed to obtain a replacement upper steering column from Ebay.. Corsa with airbag seems to where this thing originates from. Will measure it up when I get it and hopefully will do the trick. The ignition barrel was easily removed (once I read the workshop manual). So looks like my stupidity will only cost me 26 quid.. if it all fits.. lol.
