hi does any one know the weights of the std conrod and the various replacements arrow, carrillo ect
also with the vhpd piper 832 ? camshafts i am looking for the lift and duration if any one has it to hand ?

Bob,
Can't tell you how heavy the standard rod is but I can tell you that a steel rod is a good bit more. I have a set of Farndon steel rods and one of them is 476 grams, there won't be much difference between them and the arrow rods in my engine. Arrow use a slightly smaller sized cap bolt than Farndon but dimensionally the rods are the same.
As for the cams aren't the 832 not very close to the piper 1227 cams in profile. These are the ones used in the SLR 500 engines. Cant remember how the old piper coding system worked but is it not the last 3 numbers of the timing that give the cam profile in which case they are 280 deg duration and full lift of 11.73mm lift on inlet and 11.68mm on exhaust. Lift at TDC is 3.56mm inlet and 2.97mm exhaust.
