Suspension possible clunk?

This morning I thought that maybe there was more of a pronounced clunk than usual coming from the front driver's side suspension. It was the same sound as normal but just seemed to attract my attention. I did hit a couple of bigger bumps (deliberately) to investigate and now I am paranoid. I also had a quick visual check and bounce of the suspension and all seemed fine. Is this likely to be the start of or the whole of a problem? Or should I chill out until something worse happens. As always any advice is most appreciated.

Cheers

Martin

Did you feel anything through the steering when it clunked?

Did not feel anything through the steering.

If it is the ARB Bushes is there an easy way to check that?

Thanks

Martin

You could disconnect the ARB drob links (easy to do at the bar, 2 x 17mm spanners IIRC) and check the ARB moves reasonably freely and smoothly. If it's very stiff and 'jumps' it could well be the source of your noise...in which case strip, clean and regrease - maybe new bushes (all quite easy and straightforward).
