Anyone in the Fife area done one of these before? Fancy giving me a hand with changing one?

P.S where is the best place to get a replacement one

it's a doddle. take the grill off, then just unbolt the lamp. Takes about 10mins

Halfords also do both types that were fitted to S2s in case anybody's interested...

Isn't John talking about the S1 driving lights tho.... which are a whole world of pain away from changing S2 one's!!
It is do-able but technically it's a clam off job, and you'll see why
You can only screw in two of the three screws, and one of those is a nightmare. My dad made me three little tools, a different one each for turning the screw 1/3 of a turn. Took me well over an hour to do the first one.

S1 driving lights are much more expensive than S2 one's, but you might still want to consider changing both at the same time as changing just one will give you a dull one and a bright one. Something no one else will notice but bug the hell out of you

I am back at work for two weeks but will give you a shout when I get back.

Rather than replace the light, get a plastic protector, remove any loose glass, and then fit the protector to what's left - worked for me!

Anyone know, can you get replacement glass for them, or do you have to replace the unit (s2)? I just need to look at the things and they crack...

Nope. After i knocked my drivers side driving lamp out by hittin a bird. i replaced the lamp and mounting bracket. And once the tools were out and the grill was of it did indeed take about 10 mins. All the bolds came out on probs at all though.

Theres some variation on the fit of the front clams on S1s. Some are relatively easy to get at, some are the work of Satan. For the sake of my sanity, I just took the bloody clam off. Gave me an excuse to tidy up some other things under there at the same time.
