Well , its been 3 years in waiting, but started on it now (because it eventually stopped working

Started over xmas, engine out etc, and found that the timing belt was slack!! That would explain why the engine had gone off, I dont think it had just happened, the engine has not been at its best for over a year.
So , some pics of where it is now.
Front clam off rad off and cleaned. suspension still to come off. Oil cooler hoses on the left

Oh it went fffffuuuuutttt at last.???? Can you make it a little less noisy when you rebuild it Stu.......my hearing isnt what it used to be
My 160 is resting quietly, havent been out in it for ages....

. Mags has just bought me an old TD Jeep LTD today with leather seats and all the toys you can shake a stick at

, so I'm looking farward to having some proper off road fun again.
As its the kinda Jeep that will be a mobile dog kennel, handy for closing/ opening gates, chasing sheep/cattle, rabbits and idiots

. Oh and something else I've missed, what joy

slowing the local car neds

As I meet em head on most days around here in the van/lotus, the little sh*t try and drive you off the effing road. So that will come to and end..............."Oh sorry mate dident see you there"

Not sure G, was thinking about just leaving the bodywork as it is, now that it has taken over from N1TUT as the elise shed.
