Pic nabbed from ebay, was this waht you were describing ?

Not exactly, but the idea is the same, to take cold air directly from teh scoop.
If you see the MS engine cover you'll see that it has a bulge in the middle following the scoop, so my idea is to create a lower shell that would form the bottom part of a two-part airbox, the first one attached to the MS cover, some small section of ducting and then the smaller airbox attached to the TB's.
The ducting will be straight, no curves.
Now, just need to finish my garage so I can start building the stuff.

Did you hide it somewhere when we came up???
I didn't even see one that had been started!!!!!!!!!!!!
How about an Amish weekend at Uldis's then? Head up on the Friday night - booze & bbq, get stuck into building the garage on Saturday followed by another bbq + booze and same again until home time on the Sunday?

That would be because it hasn't! :p
They should have started doing the concrete floor last week but they didn't (just as well, other wise everything would have been in bits).
Now they say tehy'll get on with the floor on July 7th.
Once that's done, yes, I'd appreciate a hand, because I have bought the timber kit and the sooner it's built the sooner we'll have somewhere to work on the cars, a'la Lawrence Hoy MS.
Ahhh, looking forward for weekends working on the car and drinking beer!
