HELP - Fitting nitrons

Post by Alex 111s » Thu Apr 29, 2010 9:32 pm

Hey Guys. trying to fit my Nitrons tonight and it's not going to plan.

they are designed to run inverted - body at the top & spring at the bottom. right? so when I offer up the damper, the body clashes with the suspension mount? :(

any advice.

cheers

Alex.

Should you not have special mounts that came with the Nitrons? Mine had a set of brackets to replace the ones that were on the car...

[EDIT] This page should give you an idea of what I mean... http://www.verboom.net/projects/speedst ... index.html

Incidentally, some very early S1s had different top mount brackets that need replaced when putting on Nitrons (not you issue, obviously) which I didn't know, until we tried fitting mine to the RLC some time ago and scratched the hell out of them until Robin pointed that out...
