Scottish Elises

Hi guys, time for new pads all round. Is there a better way for me to spend £230 (not including fitting) than on the standard fit ap pads? It's an 06 111R. Mostly fast road and maybe the odd trackday. And I can expect to pay what for fitting?

Any help / suggestions appreciated!!

carbon Lorraine rc6 - cant believe how much better than pagids rs14's.

You need to track the car to get the use and put up with the squeaking though

Would the CL RC5+ not be better if its mainly road use? Admittedly mine started squealing over the weekend, but then so did my pax

For road use Mintex 1144 is a good allrounder that won't break the bank

RC5+ rather than rc6 definitely

For only occasional track use, you need a pad that warms up well on the road. 1144s are generally good VFM. Although I shall be going back to Pagid RS4-2s next time...only traded down due to £££.

The RC5+ sound good. Best to get them from elise-parts? Should I also get the anti-rattle buffers?

Now, is there anywhere u can recommend in Glasgow to fit them? Had been quoted £130.

not sure eliseparts do the carbon lorraines. eliseshop and hoffmans do them though. As for fitting, its pretty easy to do yourself, or any garage could do it in 2 hours labour max, most could probably do it in 1 hour tbh if they know the elise.

Question is - what are they like cold / tepid? I need something that won't scare the life out of Lisa as she approaches the Mill Road x-roads first time out in weeks

thats what i'm talking about, they are a different league to pagids on the road from stone cold. The feel they have from cold is like pagids when warm

Elise Shop claims the CL pads are for AP 4-pot calipers only? Is there a version for the lowly 1-pots?

Shame I just put fresh Mintex in the front and STILL haven't quite worn out the rear Pagids that have been in for yonks!
