AA Parts and Labour...wheel bearing

Post by andyc » Wed Jun 30, 2010 9:01 am

Would a wheel bearing be covered by this policy? Think one has gone on my PT Cruiser driving to work today. Hoping tey can get it taken back to my local garage and then claim it back!

The T&C can be found here
http://www.theaa.com/breakdown-cover/pd ... e-2009.pdf

Looks like it will be covered if the Breakdown Patrol has attended and car is recovered to a garage

Thanks guys. Will get Alan Gourlay to have a butchers at lunch today and then call the AA to take me and the car back to my local garage if it is a wheel bearing issue :thumbsup
Will post up what the outcome is at some point. Thanks for the link to the AA...I couldn't find that

Got my hands dirty again (a habit I wasn't wanting to get into!!)....turns out a retaining clip from my handbrake cable had worked it's way behind my disc on the rear offside. Had discs and pads fitted a month ago during the MOT....no handbrake now so will call the garage today. Thankfully no need to do the AA parts and labour thing.
Thanks again chaps.
