Simon,
I've never done it but have the Workshop Manual on CD (PM your email address).
I'm sure you'll need at least two people to lift it off once unbolted. I'd be happy to lend a hand.
Cheers,
Ali

No, just a picture I like from the Amsterdam Lotus Dealer.

Breadvan is being race prepped, no engine yet.
Little dealer shop full of new and used Elise/Exige plus Caterham, this and an Ultima in build. Coffee bar at the back.

Dealer principal races an SC Exige (Komotec).

I have taken the front clam off my Exige. Fairly straightforward, although a couple of the bolts near the front door are a bit hard to get at. There is an excellent guide to the job here
http://www.sandsmuseum.com/cars/elise/e ... moval.html.
Took me about an hour and a half to take it off, but would be half that second time around. Feel free to ask away if you have any questions.

Oh, yes, should have said that the tricky bit is putting it back on - there is a lot of fiddling around with shims to get the alignment just right. Mind you, I bet you have a lot more chance of getting it right than MMC from what I have heard about their clam fitting skills!

Cool, nice one Ali!
Did you see last months Practical Performance Car, they had a Europa with a small block chevvy in it, full crossover zorsts the works. Had great big side pods and a huge ironing board for a wing, looked the mutts nadgers.
