S2 plastic dashtop removal

Post by neilj37 » Thu Sep 02, 2010 10:27 am

For some strange and unknown reason my dashtop appears to have warped in the heat the other week so I want to replace it / fix it. Tried to get it out but for some reason it won't budge. I have removed screws at either end and screws in vents but it still won't lift out.

Any guidance is gratefully appreciated.

Any luck with it?

It's a while since I've done this, but if you've got the end screws and popped out the vents it should have lifted out no bother... :scratch

No still not got it out. I think the vent housings are somehow stuck in the foam underneath (ie very tight fit). I don't want to force it incase I break something. Might just bite the bullet and buy a new top then it doesn't matter if I trash the other one taking it out.
