clicking noise from engine ?

I have a s2 111s and i have this worrying clicking noise coming from my engine
It gets faster when reved ? car is running fine and has been serviced everything is looking good .
any ideas ?

Usually tappets, though can also be exhaust manifold gasket ...
The tappets noise will just go away, probably, can be encouraged by using a flushing additive, though sometimes a good thrashing and an oil change can help too.
Suggest you open the boot, use a length of pipe of a long screwdriver as a stethoscope - place one end at various points on the spark plug cover and see if the noise can be located to a particular point on the engine it will help work out what's up, if anything.

VVC mechs can also get noisy, I've had mine apart and can't really see what would make the noise but hey ho... They just get noisy as they wear???
