what not to do....

When you can't be bothered taking out the sticking IACV to clean it due to crazy heat, Still Game coming on the TV in 10 minutes and a couple of beers in the fridge crying your name don't do this:
Don't think that a good coating of WD40 will suffice until tomorrow night when you can take it out and clean it properly because this is what will happen.
You will remove the induction pipe.
Open the throttle butterfly.
Spray WD into the intake.
Lose the red straw off the WD down the intake where it will nestle at the rightmost point of the intake.
You will then try to use the hoover it suck it out. This will not work.
You will then fashion a hook from a 1ft long ty-rap and spend 20 minutes with the throttle wedged open, a torch in one hand and the ty-rap/hook in the other fishing the damned thing out.
Swearing will be prolific.
You will, however, enjoy your beer.
I'm blaming the heat for causing brain fade.
