The phoenix...

Post by Victor Meldrew » Thu Oct 14, 2010 11:27 pm

I have lost count of how many times my car has crashed and burned..

Soon to rise again, with a reasonably fresh 22k miles S2 VVC engine. around 180+ bhp with the throttle bodies and exhaust manifold system I have, exhaust cam change and re timed inlet. Sticking with CR box and baffled sump. Light weight flywheel and racing clutch.

Not the 200bhp screamer that I fell in love with, more of a hard hitting mid range masher that I will wrag the titts off every opportunity.

Live fast, die young... that's engines for you.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

Somewhere or other there is a solid VVC inlet cam plus the bits and pieces required to fit it - I think it belongs to AndyG and is at KiwiRog's ... I'm sure it would be available for sale if of any use to you?

Cheers,
Robin

Hi Robin,

Do you know what spec the cam is? I'm after a pair of 285H cams for a VVC head.

Already have the blanking kit etc.

Cheers

It is still an option, but wont be so full on. Will stick with more road focused tyres, wont be spending a fortune on super softs.

Would like to do Alford and Fintry

They are 285 IIRC - must be H as they were for LOTRDC regs, so no M allowed - KiwiRog should have them I think - you could give him a bell and ask him? 99% sure that I paid for them, then Andy paid me, so if there is any discussion on price, Andy would be the man to talk to.

Cheers,
Robin

Be good to see you out again. But you need a VX to beat Mikie's 2-11 :damnfunny

Anyway, I'll be in A1 in a Metro so I don't know why I'm laughing.
