undertray material

anyone know what type of aluminum the undertays arre made of?

I just asked for 1.6mm thick aluminium plate when I got my rear diffuser made.

woody im not racing this year, but i dont think it would matter. saying that a 1" think piece of lead would make the weight balance of the car better :wink:

I would guess 1.5mm NS4 alloy (or 16 gauge). That is the spec for some kit car aluminium panels (eg Ultima), Lotus undertray appears to be made of something pretty similar.

Mind you the spec says good corrosion resistance for offshore applications, can't believe my front tray made of that looking at state of it.

i can get 4 made out of 1 sheet, im also getting a price for it to be anodized.

Scotty, if you want a cad model for the cnc machine let me known I recently got some panels water jet cut, just sent them a cad model and they did the rest.
