Yup and I do not recommend them! Very slippery in the cold or wet. If I was buying tyres again for an Elise in my ownership I'd not go past yoko advan for an everyday car with added track use from time to time. Some folk rate the khumo ku31 but I've no experience of these.

That's interesting.
I've heard some very good reports: someone whose opinion I trust rates them broadly on a par with his previous tyres, R888s, for outright grip but with more durability. He did 25 laps of the 'Ring on them and reckoned they were good for about the same again. But this was on a much heavier, more powerful car.
My concern is that on the Elise they'd be too hard to get heat into them which seems to be borne about by your experience.
My car's a weekend/sunny day car but obviously it's rarely that warm hereabouts.
