Who do the Edinburgers use these days who are Lotus friendly??
I used to use Auto Image on Dundee Street but they have been closed for ages and Willie at CLCM doesnt open on a Saturday
And a certain bank who i am working for are not too keen on mobile fitter turning up to the main branch at St Andrew Square during the week

My car has already been moved from the front as it is has "too high visibility"
Cheers

I took the wheels of the 340R and took them to Kiwkfit just along the road from Asda (Sighthill way)
They didnt have a jack low enough to get under the car, but did the rears for £20
Willie is who i used for the Ferrari wheels and all my geo stuff though - need to book in advance

He's in from 6 am most days, but obviously you need to make an appointment rather than just rocking up. I really would recommend him.
I used to recommend Farmers too, but now they charge £20/wheel I think that's taking the piss.
Cheers,
Robin

No wonder he always looks knackered when I rock up at 9am or so

How much would he charge for four tyres.
Phoned Farmers as they used to be cheap for that kind of thing.
Dont understand how they can charge £20 per tyre for fitting your tyres when they are advertising their tyres for £17.99.

Last time I think I got tyres removed from one set of rims and fitted to another set, for about £13 per corner. Might be fractionally less to just fit and balance brand new ones. And definitely less again if it's CLCM actually supplying the tyres. Although the brands I've needed, Willie has not usually been able to source so I just find the best deal independently and have them shipped to his workshop direct.
He is honest, skilled and says very little - but has never let me down in several years and it's worth the hassle of booking in (usually several days in advance, he's that busy).
And over and above tyres, he's a geo-genius I think.

The farmers in Blackhall Edinburgh did mine about 6 months ago for £10 a corner, that was loose wheels but the guy was very understanding about painted wheels and used pastic guards on all the tools.

Ditto. I've had nothing but good service from Farmers and no rip-off attempts, despite them doing MOTs on some of our cars over the past few years (normally a good opportunity for a bit of profiteering). I'm sure their service is as good as it was before, but I cannot justify £80 to fit four tyres ... I would rather spend my time taking the tyres to CLCM.
Cheers,
Robin
