ABS Light On intermittently

Got the ABS light on the majority of the time once i start up or often appears after driving for a bit.
Light is out some trips and when it is then ABS is working.
Read some comments about cleaning contacts.

Any suggestions what to check at weekend based on intermittent nature ?
