Plastic fasteners

Post by campbell » Wed Apr 13, 2011 1:48 pm

Decided to get a stock of these in for the various applications on the S1 Elise - presume other derivatives use plenty of them too.

Found reasonable pricing here:

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/227s-Parts/Scr ... 34.c0.m322

Variety of 6mm, 7mm and 8mm types are used - you should be able to tell by the pictures, but note that for some wheelarch liner applications the 7mm type is required and is tagged "BMW" on that site. Must be worth 2bhp at least ;-)

Did some digging and even the bulk places weren't getting below 30-40p per unit, in bags of several hundred! So not even any value in a "group buy".

Paul, if you can source them "direct" even cheaper, we'd be all ears...many many Elises getting to that certain age where all the placcy fasteners are fubar!
