how do i reset teh trip on the stack unit? it can obviously be done as the mileage doesn't tie in with the trip but i can't find the button?!?!

It's on the steering column shroud on mine. It's a little black button.

oh is that what that's for!!?
the guy selling me the car indicated it was something to do with the alarm and immobiliser! i was wondering why it never turned the alarm off

You press it once to reset the trip and if you hold it down it dims/brightens the stack lights.
