Some help required - tonight and tomorrow night.....

Post by ClarkyBoy » Thu Jun 09, 2011 1:05 pm

Hi All,

As some of you know my car is in bits right now and im booked onto KH on saturday, im determined to make it, even if it means not sleeping before then!

there a couple of jobs on the car that are alot easier with a spare pair of hands, like putting the engine back in.... (yup it really is in bits) and im now getting pretty close for time,

Just wondered if any of you helpfull mechanic types have a spare few hours tonight and tomorrow after 6 to fire out to kintore and help me out,

im pretty confident that as long as all my parts arrive today - which they should.... that i will have the car running tomorrow night, but at present, the block is on my floor, the new pistons are without rings and the head is somewhere in the post, once all the bits are here i intend on building the engine on the floor, hoising it in and getting someone to help me line up the gearbox and bolt.

Thanks in advance :thumbsup

I would have popped over to offer a hand but my back to back hasn't pitched up so I'm stuck in deepest darkest Africa. Should have been back in the UK by last Sunday now it looks like I'll next Sunday..ish.

There is an engine hoist up a Tav's house, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you got a shot of it if it would make things a bit easier.

Craig, any chance you could find out why my brake lights are not working?

They were fine on the first part of the run then stopped working and I need them for KH tomorrow.
