Punctures and trackday tyres - repairable?

After fitting a new set of ZZR's, I seem to have picked up a puncture. It is in the centre of the tread and looks like something about 2-3 mm has penetrated it and then pulled back out. It has 'self sealed' and holds pressure for several days and there are no obvious signs of structural damage.

I was wondering what the thoughts were about repairing tyres that are exposed to track driving and 120 mph?

yep - at a £124 each and just one track night (they're not really a road tyre) I was planning to use them again on track.

I had a front puncture repaired on the morning of the Club Lotus Donnie trackday a couple of years ago

No idea if it was a good idea or not, looking back, but it meant that I was finally persuaded to track the car for 4 of us to drive and bl**dy glad that I did, too, having reflected on the fun we all had :-)

I've happily run on a repaired rear R888 on track with no problems. IMO if it can be repaired (it's not too close to the sidewall) then the repair should be more than man enough for the task.
