O2 sensor

Post by steviej » Sun Sep 04, 2011 11:05 am

I have a fault with the 2nd (post cat) O2 sensor, (pre heater open circuit), does anyone know if these sensors are compatible / any use, or would it be a waste of £18 ?

Err, I might be being stupid but if you have a decat pipe and MIL eliminator fitted, why do you care about the 2nd O2 sensor?

Because the mil light is on due to the pre heater fault, the eliminator only works on the switching circuit ... annoyingly

Fair enough. If you're lucky the pre-heater on the cheap ebay part will survive much longer than the sensor element.

You do get some chafing on the wires too, so probably worth following back the wiring to make sure it's in good order.

Cheers,
Robin
