Replacement headlight bulbs

Post by IanD » Sun Oct 16, 2011 2:15 pm

Need to replace a dipped beam bulb today and wondered if anyone has went for these supposed brighter/whiter standard replacement bulbs advertised such as 90% brighter and if you really found them any better ?
Only considering whether to spend £5 on a single bulb now or £20odd on upgraded ones, not considering spending more doing the whole HiD's replacement route although I know the hids make a big difference.

Changed my elise dipped bulbs for the 100% brighter ones, huge difference and well worth it, they were 'ring' brand, bought from partco for under £20

I went for the osram nightbreaker ones ( I think, been a while!) and found it much improved. http://www.autobulbsonline.co.uk/

Nightbreaker upgrade last year from the same web page I think. Much improved. Still not fantastic, but no longer the worst lights in my garage.

Webpage was quick and a bargain cf high st prices.
