My elise s2 has been in the garage for a month or so.... I went to start it up and battery is dead...
Is it easy to disconect the battery to charge it up or is it better to leave it how it is and buy a battery charger and just connect it up?

Taking the battery out to charge is easy enough. Just remember to disconnect it in the right order and connect it back up the same way. Doing it wrong may cook your ECU.
Remove the negative terminal first then the positive.
Putting it back on - connect the positive first then the negative.
Have a read of this to scare yourself into not doing it:

Always a good idea to buy an Acutec or similar intelligent charger so that you can connect it up if you are not driving for a week or so.
Last thing you want is to be taking a battery in and out especially on a S1, and it is also better not to let it discharge completely.

The S2 battery is easy to remove so I would fret about that. Luckily the boot is all plastic so there is very limited risk of shorting during removal. That said you do need to be careful to replace the battery the right way around!
You can easily disconnect one battery terminal when leaving the car laid up which will keep the battery very well.

I have the Ctek MXS 3.6 which comes at the top of best buys. Not the cheapest you can buy, but no need to go further up the range.
Best reliable price I have found is here

Pretty sure that it will come with a three pin plug Jordan, at worse it would be an American two pin so use a one quid adaptor, but doubt if it will be.
