Where in Central Scotland could i get an Emerald fitted with a decent map fitted to an s2, bearing in mind its alot harder to fit to an s2 than s1.

Falkland maybe? nd what sort of costs will we be looking at ?

Not in Scotland but I do them fitted and roughly mapped for £100 (inc VAT)

Done quite a few. You're right about it not being as easy as an S1. The wiring is a nightmare. Have you already the bought the ECU?

What are the advantages of fitting an Emerald ? Do you actually get power gains ?

Not really on a standard engine. They are used when engines are modified beyond the capabilities of the standard ECU.

I'm running with the PTP system of a piggybacked EFI ecu running along side the K4 ecu.

Seriously considering the emerald so that I can, in time, move on to dthtb's

And I believe much harder to map on a VVC...

Not really, unless you're planning on farking about with the inlet cam timing. Dave Walker has a base map with the cam timing pretty much okay - after that, it's just fuelling & sparks like any other RR mapping session. If you want to get difficult and fiddle with cam timing, it will be much more difficult though (like juggling with 6 balls as opposed to 2 - you change cam timing and you've gotta re-map the fuelling & sparks before you see if it's helped)

Yeh the car has been fitted with K05 head and 270 cams , and its rather lumpy at idle and jumpy at low revs.

Your Based in newcastle on Tyne is that Correct?

I havent got the Emerald yet but would either get one from DVA or Dave walker or yourself, depending wherer i could get a decent pre fitted Map that would be suitable for the car.

I take it we would need to bring the car to newcastle unless there is a quicker place to have it fitted?
